$1,000 Reward Offered in Theft of Antiques From East Ridge Man
Original Publication Date: February 15, 2005. from, official site of Chattanooga, Tennessee)
An East Ridge man is offering a $1,000 reward for information relating to a theft of some valuable antiques.

East Ridge Police said on Feb. 11, Everett Grist, a long time antique collector was the victim of a theft from his automobile.

According to Mr. Grist, a collection of Civil War era bullets, Miniť Balls, shell fragments and reprints of Civil War currency was taken, as well as buttons, marbles, jars, and a collection of swimming medals from a local family.

Mr. Grist is offering the reward for the successful prosecution of the thieves. While his ultimate goal is the return of his belongings, Mr. Grist would like to see the offenders prosecuted, it was stated.

Anyone with information about Mr. Grist's theft should contact Det. Gwen Cribbs, 867-3718 or East Ridge Communications at 622-1725. As always, information can be left on the Confidential Tipline at 867-0016.
