Chad has been obsessed with creating as long as he can remember - from Legos as a child to drawing, painting, and playing music as a teenager, he has always pursued forms of creative self-expression. As an adult, he struggled to find a creative medium that satisfied his need to create.

He found his medium when he and his fiancé Amanda took a lampworking class. Immediately hooked, he left class, bought a torch, kiln, glass, and tools, and has spent very little time away from the torch since then.

Chad is attracted to the ethereal and organic colors of borosilicate glass, and particularly fell in love with making marbles. He was fascinated both by the amount of detail that could be fit into a small orb of glass, and also the propensity of marbles to magnify their interior.
