It's amazing how much enloyment there is to the eye and exhilaration a sphere of colored glass brings to the heart. Your team should be commended for the happy moments you give others everyday by reminding us to enjoy the "simple" things in life.have a great day!!
Size is as-packaged, or the diameter of loose marbles. ("D" is the diameter of round items other than marbles.)
The Golden Rule (Do unto others as you would have them do unto you) is printed around the "equator" of this marble in UPPERCASE letters. This is reminiscent of the Golden Rule marbles produced years ago by Samsonite corporation. Samsonite's marbles were made famous through the practice of handing them out, which was done by quite a few people and organizations through the years beginning with Jesse Shwayder, founder of the Shwayder Trunk Mfg. Co. (later to become Samsonite) and the originator of the Golden Rule Marble, who gave them to company employees and visitors to the plant. He soon began handing them out wherever he went. Through the years they have been distributed by many people and organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, The Methodist Men, Mary Kay, the London police and the legendary Woodrow Wilson "Foots" Clements - the man behind Dr. Pepper soda.
Samsonite last distributed them in the late 1990's and after about 10 years of persistent requests they began referring requests to the landofmarbles.com. Since then, we have distributed tens of thousands of Golden Rule marbles to hundreds of individuals and organizations nationwide.
It was good enough for Foots Clements... 5/25/2014

On a recent visit to the Dr. Pepper Museum in Waco, Texas I learned about these marbles. The former CEO of Dr. Pepper, W.W. "Foots" Clements gave these marbles away as a reminder on how to live your life. He ran the company that way, and was extremely successful...starting with the company at an early age, as a delivery truck driver, to eventually make it to the top spot. He kept a bowl of these on his desk (they are still there in the display!) and would give them to lucky visitors. Sadly, the museum gift shop was out of them, so I went looking and found them here, at Land of Marbles! Great little place to do business!
