Policy
The security of your information, transactions, and money is our top priority. We pride ourselves in taking extra measures to protect you so we'll have you as a customer for years to come.
We automatically encrypt your confidential information in transit from your computer to ours using the Secure Sockets Layer protocol (SSL) with RC4 algorithm routines and an encryption key length of 128-bits (the highest level commercially available). This information is never transmitted by e-mail.
Once your information reaches us, it resides on a server that is heavily guarded both physically and electronically. Credit card charges are processed 100% electronically, account numbers are never seen by human eyes. This is far safer than even the conventional method of using your credit card in a store, where your account number can be read over your shoulder, or taken from receipts which are generated and discarded.
Our servers sit behind an electronic firewall and are not directly connected to the Internet, so your private information is available only to authorized computers. Your information is never shared or sold - it is used only to complete your order.
Internet Credit Card Security Tips
- Do your shopping on sites that are well known and reputable. Shop with merchants you already know, or do some research about the company before making your purchase.
- Make sure you know the difference between buying from a business and buying from a private seller. Private sellers may not provide you with the same legal rights as online retailers. (Our business certificate is on file with the Queens County, NY clerk's office, as prescribed by law.)
- Look into the address bar and the site's URL to make sure that the address has switched from http:// into http:// The http:// shows that the merchants you are dealing with have set up an encrypted pipeline between their systems and your computer to establish a safe transmission. (This page's address starts with http://, you will see it change to http:// when you are ready to check out with an order.)
- Keep a paper record of your online transactions, and check them against your account balance and your credit card bills. (Please print out and save your on-screen, and e-mail order confirmations.)
- Check delivery and return policies. Before hitting the "Buy" button, make sure you can return or exchange the product and get a refund. (Please see our Terms and Conditions of Sale link, we accept any and all returns, no questions asked.)
- If you do not want to give your credit card information to each merchant you do business with, consider using PayPal. It's fast, easy, free and secure. You may also mail or fax your credit card infomation, or pay by check or money order.
