Handmade clay tripods used during bennington marble manufacture in the late 1800's were recovered from
the "Eichhornhut" factory grounds in Steinach, Germany by the German digger Gerhard Baz. "Full Glaze"
Benningtons were recovered from a German shipwreck off the coast of Long Island NY from 2000-2010. They
retained perfect glaze despite 100+ years beneath the sea! Unlike most Benningtons, each of these
premium examples sat perched upon a tripod so that a near-perfect glaze (without the eyes caused by touching marbles) could be achieved. The only defect in the glaze will be a triad of touch marks, corresponding to three legs of the clay tripod! Marbles range
from 5/8" to 1" - our choice of size please! You will receive one marble, one tripod, and a signed certificate
of authenticity on cotton paper with the raised gold seal of LandOfMarbles.com.
