Nadine Macdonald has been making contemporary ceramic marbles since 1995. As a marble collector since childhood, and inspired by Marlow Peterson, she began to make the marbles she was never able to find.
Each is handrolled, rounded, and handpainted, signed and dated, and kiln fired. A layer of 'liquid glass' is applied for the second and final firing.
Featured in several articles and books, Nadine continues to produce new and old designs which she brings to the Northeast Marble Show each October. She lives in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
