Nadine Macdonald has been making contemporary ceramic marbles since 1995. As a marble collector since childhood, and inspired by Marlow Peterson, she began to make the marbles she was never able to find.

Each is hand-rolled, rounded, and hand-painted, signed and dated, and kiln fired. A layer of 'liquid glass' is applied for the second and final firing.

Featured in several articles and books, Nadine produced new and old designs which she brought to the Northeast Marble Show each October, which was a short trip from her home in Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Nadine passed away during the Summer of 2010 after a long illness. She remained upbeat throughout her ordeal and continued to produce her handmade ceramic marbles when she was able to, the last of which we offer here. She was a loyal friend to the LandOfMarbles.com and we will miss her a great deal.
