These very interesting bags have 2 header cards - they were originally labeled "Big Shot" and "Heaton Agate Company." Heaton was purchased by C.E. Bogard in 1971 and renamed "C.E. Bogard & Sons, Inc." When C.E. Bogard bought the Heaton factory, they found about 100 boxes of Heaton marbles (some already bagged and labeled) had been left behind. Bogard had some labels printed up and stapled right over the existing Heaton labels. Their card reads "Cat Eyes - The cat's eye in glass". The 19 count bag actually contains a mix of Heaton cat's and swirls. These bags make a very interesting addition to any collection and are documented in Six, Metzler and Johnson's book "American Machine-made Marbles." which reports C.E. Bogard obtained Heaton stock and labeled it as their own. This is the popular Bogard header card featuring a cat's head.
