These are optional polishing cups for our 3-head marble
polishing machine. The bare-bones machine uses steel
cups with silicon carbide grits to polish. This
method has been used successfully for a long time, however,
it requires almost constant attention as grit must be added to the marble/heads regularly.
These diamond cups allow the machine to run untended during each grit stage, as the abrasive is actually incorporated into the cups! Changing out the cups when you are ready for the next stage takes 10-20 seconds. No more babysitting, and no more mess!
Use 150 cups for the first grind, 300 cups for the
second, 800 cups for pre-polish, and then use the wooden cups
with polishing compound to polish (Compound is not provided,
but is easily obtained - we tell you where).
Cups are offered in three sizes; small (polishes
½-¾" marbles), medium (for ¾-1&1/8"
marbles) and large (for 1&1/8-2" marbles). We can actually
size these cups as you wish, so if you are looking for
