These unique 5/8-¾" marbles are not only educational, they are fun to play with too - they are 100% real glass, and hold their own in any marble ring. They are made by bundling glass fiber optic cables together, cutting the bundle into short sections, grinding the sections into spheres and buffing them until they shine! With a magnifying glass, you can see the individual ends of the fibers (examine the side of the marble light passes through.) Fiber optic cables transmit light, so if you place that side down on print, the image of the text is transmitted through the marble, and appears to be printed on the top surface! A beautiful tiger-eye effect is seen when the marble is viewed from any other angle. Sold in 5-packs, colors will vary, our choice of color please.
