In light of the discussion about the All-Reds vs MK this weekend, I thought I better double-check mine. The first lot I had set aside as Tiger Eye (Type I) and the second set as Tiger Eye (Type 3). Am I incorrect?
Red on top and something else on the bottom is the definition for the All-Red,...
The first one was in my swirls box, but I realized it was actually a ribbon. Whitie or Bloodie?
The second one is possibly a lazy cork. It starts as a cork at top and then runs straight down. The problem I have with it is that instead of just ending, it kind of dives into the white. Lazy cork...
I found two more colors of Vitros that I hadn't had. The first two have some sort of greenish base glass beneath the brown patch. Makes it look like brass or something. Is this something special or just due to the color of the base glass.
The purple ones have a colored base glass too. The first...
Here are four more that I can't ID. The second one has a tail, not sure about a nine. Are marbles 2 and 3 hand gathered, by any chance? The last one is a lot like a Peltier Bloody, except that the ribbon makes sort of an 8, instead of going around the middle.
What do you think?
I had a batch of these earlier, so you aren't seeing a repeat.
Peltier Rainbos or Vitro Whities?
The first marble is one I posted just a bit ago. I put it in this lineup for comparisons. The second mib has seams that go in the same direction ) ), but the first and third have seams that aim at each other )(. Would number 2 be a helmet, as well? Maybe an Akro? The last just seems like a blonde....
I don't own these (I was just window shopping), so I can't provide more than this one pic of the lot.
I am curious about a couple of mibs in this lot.
1. The coral/reddish and clear marble on the left. Is this some sort of cat eye?
2. The black, blue, and red one in the lower right of...
Following along in somewhat of the same vein as Jayne's thread on Yellow Jackets/Vitro All Reds; I wanted to post 2 sets of my attempts at ID between MK and Vitro All Reds. I used the info from this site (MK patches are less vivid in color and sized irregularly;
Vitro patches have richer color and...
Is there a color name for a Peltier NLR that is Orange and yellow. Just like a ruby Bee but the red bands are bright orange. But not a ketchup mustard there is no white.
I think these might all be whites, but correct me if I am wrong. 999759997699977
Thanks! -- Jayne
I am pretty sure the first is pelt, but it's not one of the colors I have enough of to know. The second one has two bright patches, and I am thinking Marble King.
The third one has a reaaaaaaalllllly looooooong seam.
The last one probably the only pink marble I have, except for maybe a sold....
I think this batch is Peltier as well. Did I get one that doesn't fit?
Yet another unidentified marble. Colors look right for CA and it sort of has a turkey head, though there's a crease running between beak and body that continues about 1/2 way around the marble.
Akro Sparklers are easy to ID but...
I think these are German Foreign Sparklers. First one is about 3/4" and second one is a bit over 1". Yes? No?
1: vitro?; 2: vitro opal?; 3: ?; 4: spiral (or too off pattern?) 5: ? Tx (I apologize if #4 is a repeat; I've been trying to do some putting away of mibs and not sure if I already sent that one). Tx.
