I have this green and white slag marble that has some gold specks on a small part of the marble. I've taken a q tip with turpentine on it and tried wiping it off and it's in the glass. Is this a common error? I've tried looking up error marbles but I can't find much on them. I have several marbles...
White marble with baby blue and different shades of purple. Any thoughts. Thanks!
I have so many marbles and so many questions. I hope you all don't mind all my threads. Is this mark machine or man made? My guess is machine. There seems to be seams but they kind of blend in the marble. Peltier rainbo?
A little one and a shooter. They look so much alike I put them on together. Both of them have the blue and white swirls on one side and a brushed white on the other. Thanks!
I think the last is PPP, and the red one may be a Conqueror, note the tiny hook. If it is, it has a solid white base, instead of a veneered one. The first one has me lost. I think the patch is black. It starts like an Akro, so that would be my guess.
I ran across this bag of marbles for $5. I don't really think I have $5 worth, but I wanted to buy some marbles. :)
The blue and red ones are not in good condition. The yellow is just a game marble, but at least it's in good condition.
There is one Akro corkscrew. I think most of the rest...
What do you think ? Nice shinny pinks in the patch. Thanks!
Steph said the first two might be Alleys, so I thought I'd show more sides to give a better idea. Still Alley? Ideas on the last one? It really only has the swirl on one side (almost a patch). The rest is just white.
Are these Akro patches?
The first is my colorful Peltier Peerless Patch. I love the colors. Is there a special name or rarity in multicolor patches like this?
The second is the one 1mibs called a melon ball. I just I would include it so you could see all around it. It's in bad shape, so I am assuming it won a few...
I purchased these marbles at an auction and wanted to know if they are worth anything. Thank you for your help. Not sure if attachment of pictures worked.
I apologize for the awful pics; I just can't capture it after many attempts - so if no one can ID that is fine. I've been trying to ascertain if this is a possible Vitro Tiger Eye. I know it is odd but it really appears to have the structure of one. Measures .62 and has a clear base. I checked out...
All these just 'no name' Vitro patches of some sort? (Clear base/looks green on screen.) Tx.
Greetings, looking for some help to ID bunch of marbles. They have been sitting around for years.
Hoping some one can tell me if any are collectable, if so the maker's name and type of marble.
I have obtain around 500 marbles from my father's estate. I have separated in what I think are proper groups and soaked in mild dish detergent and distilled warm water over night.
After many, many hours or reading (Thank you Pete for a very informative site) and 5 other sites, I still can not...
