  2. Red "slags" with "9's"

sorry taboo topic, but I must ask again. I have been putting together a nice collection of only mint slags (couple of these are not mint for conversation sake), and I had these under my MFC pile. But then I found out that MFC did not have red in the formulary as far as onyx are concerned. ...

  3. Contest! Contest! Contest!

Alright, I think this might be fun. I'm out of the bidding already, so at least I can enjoy the action. I'll send the winner some nice stuff. Get the closest in dollars and cents to the final selling price of Lloyd's book, without going over, and you'll win some nice mibs. Newer board members,...

  4. Contest! Contest! Contest!

Hey all. Last year after I ran a contest of my own, Pete asked me if I would like to host some contests for him. I had such a blast running my own, I figure running a contest where I don't have to part with any of my personal stash would be win-win. LOL. So here's the deal. I'm supplying the...

  5. Question One Inch Multi Color patch but no visible seams. Master?

Hello! 90% of this marble is covered by panels of color. There is only a tiny window where you can see the opalescent transparent base filled with filaments. Patch colors include yellow opaque, white opaque with brown piggyback, green, white again, thin wisps of black, and a large...

  6. Don't Know But It Is Nice

I have not a clue with this beautiful marble. It is just under 1" in size and I bet I don't yet have one (of the same maker) in my collection. sorry about my last post - I will try not to have the photos post like a telephone pole (straight up and down); I will try for a sidewalk (laft to right)....

  8. Painted Chinese Clay Rabbit Scene

Just dug from an 1870s privy. I'd love to know the history and rarity. Any ideas ? It's about the size of a nickel and in great shape.

  10. U-Shaped Popeye?

I have a little marble, 19/32", that has the same colors as an Akro Popeye. It has a red, a blue and a white swirl, with a splattering of orange here and there. It has the coloring of Akro but is it an Akro? Thanks Beth

  11. New to the boards. Grandfather gave me some marbles. Any info on these?

I was given a LOT of marbles by my grandfather, I assume these are mostly German as he was stationed there when my mom was a little girl. Most of them do show slight to severe wear. Here are pics of some of them.

Can one of the two colors on a Popeye be white? If not, what would you call this? Susan

  13. Maker of this flame...

I will state size later, as I am curious to see what maker collectors would assign to this flame/swirl without having size to consider. True white with yellow/orange flames and swirls. What says you fellow collectors?

Alrighty. Sorry its been a few days since the last one ended but I've been somewhat busy and haven't seen anything that's lit my fire to use as a contest auction. LOL. This one ends in four days though, so it should be fast and frenzied contest action. LOL. Here it is: ...
