  3. Speaking of Akro Oxbloods.....

anyone ever heard the term "Old Egg Yolk"? That is what I was told this one is by a well known collector at a show several years ago. Transparent base glass with very thick swirls of opaque yellow. Some of the surface has somewhat of a texture to it, but is not a dug one. What da ya think? thanks.

  7. Now that I found some Pelts, I got "?'s"

http://www.landofmarbles.com/phpbb/showthread.php?t=19806 Some of the colors are brighter, the others are duller. Some have wider, flat, more defined ribbons the others are more swirly. A few don't look like they have any, or very hard to see, seams. Any time frame difference between the two? ...

  8. Help ID an Onyx

7/8". Fluorscent base glass. No visible seam that I can see. Hard to get a pic of, but the swirling inside and being slightly out-of-round makes me think Christensen Agate. What da ya think? http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z6/1DanS/sell2.jpg thanks.

  12. How's Bout Some Nuts?

Pistachios that is. 3 different colors of green, three different patterns, and all are opaque. The 1st two glow brightly and the last one has a much duller glow. All are around 5/8". Now, who the heck made them? http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z6/1DanS/pistachio.jpg thanks.

  13. What Da Ya Think?

5/8". Translucent base glass, swirls of opaque powder blue and opaque white (some of which are wispy), and thin swirls of oxblood. Has the same type of construction as Akro's Ade types, but no glow. http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z6/1DanS/blueberry.jpg thanks.

  14. An Interesting One?

We've heard about the so called Transitionals with crease, pinch, pinpoint, and fold pontils. This one appears to have a regular pontil. Go figure? http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z6/1DanS/diff.jpg http://i188.photobucket.com/albums/z6/1DanS/diff1.jpg thanks.
