Here is a link with instructions on how to make a marble polishing machine. http://www.theglassmarble.com/sphere%20grinder.htm Just in case this page moves, I am copying the info below: How to Assemble and Use your Marble Reconditioning Machine The motors are small and turn no faster...
These slags and handmades are in rough shape. One handmade is so beat up that I cannot even tell what the center might be. I wonder if it could be blasted with a torch and made so that it would be clear. I realize it might not be round, but it's a shame to just trash it. Some of the handmades would...
I have several German handmade marbles that have been used for what they were made for, and they have lots of dings, dents, cracks, chips, etc. I would love to be able to see the cores and swirls better. I am not really looking to repair them. I just want to make it easier to see through. Is there...
I've got more mibs I want to polish and can't seem to scare up Paul Nulton, who polished my last batch for me... Someone got me a phone # recently, but all I've gotten on that # is a busy signal. Can anyone direct me to some polishers? I'd like to identify and get pricing from as many as...
Can you fix a chip in a machine made marble? If so how would I go about doing so? Thanks Beth
If it is possible, does anyone know who & how I might contact them ? If it were in perfect condition what would its value be ? I ask this so I don't spend a 100.00 fixing it only to learn it was only worth 20.00.
In the past I'd had a marble cooked by Scott Patrick. To do that, a damaged sulphide is attached to a punty, and "cooked" in the furnace by allowing the surface to remelt (which "restores" damage) while rolling the punty back and forth, so the marble doesn't melt off the punty, then it is broken...
I have a sandwich bag full of some great marbles that are damaged, some have cracks, Flea bites, or chips. Are these marbles something that people buy? Thank You!1:wave2:
Hi there, I was wondering if the Tri-Head or even the dual-head marble Restoration machine that used to be sold on this site is still available for sale? It used to be $200 and I have not been able to find it and I am in need of it badly. I don't want someone to restore marbles for me, I want to...

Hello friends! I recently purchased a Left Twist Onionskin Marble from an auction & once I got it home & washed it I noticed a film on the entire marble. It is in rough shape & had been polished down a lot! But I couldn't make sense of the film on it. It was like dried glue but I had never heard of...

A antique marble table top we have got broke sometime ago and was repaired. In lifting it one day the repair let go and it broken in half again. It's about 36" long by 18" wide. Is there any glue, cement, expoy on the market to hold this together? :-o>
Marble is 1 1/2 inches. Bought this at an antique shop for $5.00. Was wondering if this could be repaired and the cost to repair. If you could do it for me PLMK your price and info in a PM. Thanks, James P.S. I'll post pictures in the next message.
