  3. Can it be repaired ?

Marble is 1 1/2 inches. Bought this at an antique shop for $5.00. Was wondering if this could be repaired and the cost to repair. If you could do it for me PLMK your price and info in a PM. Thanks, James P.S. I'll post pictures in the next message.

  5. Question luckie to have dumped a ton of work and learning in my lap I think????

Hi all, Guess i'm new to the whole marble polishing game, years (20+) ago I collected antique beads and would get some german marble beads from time to time and fell in love with the colored gems, most were badly damaged being traded around africa for years. Then a few years ago I got a small Lot...

  7. Question Is this rust?

Hi All, I have about 200 marbles in my life all of a sudden. I suspect some are collectible after a bit of research. I am befuddled by the orange rusty looking stuff on many of them. I don't know if steelies were stored with them or not. I don't think I have no idea why they would rust....

  8. Question What are my options for badly damaged marbles?

I have two marbles that are badly damaged. One is a large figural one with a rabbit that is so beat up I can barely see inside and it has a large piece missing ... If ground down and polished it could end up just large enough to encase the rabbit well enough. The other is a very large german marble...

  11. Poly Bags

Acquired on original bag of 1" Master marbles that are labeled as Cat's Eyes and these things are stunning. Problem is I can hardly see through the bag. Any way to clear up Ploy bags? I tried seeping a little distilled water in and massaged around but no luck. Any ideas appreciated.

  12. Possible Slag with much surface damage, but maybe not too deep?

Okay I promise not to mention countertop repair...........although I did get a much needed laugh out of that last thread...... This is a brown what I would call a "slag", but has a lot of surface damage, I'd call hit marks, but no real chunks. Since it's 1.25" diameter, makes me wonder if it'd be...

  13. Marble Repair

How do you repair places that have worn through the gelcoat on cultured marble? The top edge of the basin no longer forms a clean 90 degree angle with the top surface in two places because the gelcoat wore through while we were trying to buff out scratches. What do you use to paint cultured...
