Well, I thought I would share a couple of images I did using DOF method. Each picture was a set of 20 images.
I have been disappointed in taking picture because; for the most part only the part close to the lens would be infocus and the edges would be blurred/out of focus. So...

Most people seem to use clear glass or acrylic floral frogs as stands for displaying/photographing small marble lots. I've seen some for sale on ebay, but wondering if anyone knows where to find them locally these days, particularly near Denver.

when ever i use the macro on my sony cybershot H2, I always need the flash because its dark in here and I dont have any type of photo tent thingie.. so the flash washes it out and it creates a shadow in the photo.. i usually have to stand far back and just zoom way in. does everyone use some kind...

I recently noticed, by accident, that my pictures on resolutions other than native look distorted. I run my display at 1680 x 1050, and at this resolution all my pics are fine. If I change the display resolution, the pics are distorted. It made me wonder if other people running different...
I noodled around for awhile trying out my camera on blacklight pics. It's an old Kodak DX7440. I have a good 18" GE blacklight that provides enough output to bring out the flourescence, but I'm still not getting the aperture settings right. This one pic of the whole tray came out fairly good.
Working with new lens and looking for opinions and suggestions. Do you think I'm close? Still need to get a remote trigger, less than half of what I shot was even presentable and definately not sharp enough. Don't forget to click on the pic for full image.

How in the world do you get a picture of a marble with the black light on it. Flash or no flash the thing is always washed out and you can't tell that it glows. :banghead:
