Sadly, there are times that I have more money then time (not very much of one, and none of the other). This seems to be one of them. I am hoping there is a place or person that sells a good back-light set-up for marble pictures... ????????? any hints.. Thank you... ron
I found a very interesting thread at photo.net re: photographing spheres/marbles. I wanted to mirror it here, as it's right up our alley... We're still always on the lookout for marble photo tips - marbles definately impose their own special challenges when trying to capture them in a...
I recently noticed, by accident, that my pictures on resolutions other than native look distorted. I run my display at 1680 x 1050, and at this resolution all my pics are fine. If I change the display resolution, the pics are distorted. It made me wonder if other people running different...
I noodled around for awhile trying out my camera on blacklight pics. It's an old Kodak DX7440. I have a good 18" GE blacklight that provides enough output to bring out the flourescence, but I'm still not getting the aperture settings right. This one pic of the whole tray came out fairly good.
Working with new lens and looking for opinions and suggestions. Do you think I'm close? Still need to get a remote trigger, less than half of what I shot was even presentable and definately not sharp enough. Don't forget to click on the pic for full image.

I recently had to sign in under a different name., as lost my old password. I posted a pic on 10-10 and someone thought I was new. Other people probably recognized my blurry pictures and realized it's still the same person! I recently became unemployed, boo hoo for some reasons., but perhaps I...
A lot of people dont utilize the white balance function on their camera.....this is a very important feature of most cameras that can save you lots of time and heartache with the perils of image editing your marble pictures with software.... Most digital cameras have a white balance function...
Luckily, my camera is very capable of taking macro pictures, but I was having a lot of problems with the flash drowning out colors, especially whites and light shades. I tried shielding the flash, but it wasn't even enough and created ugly shadows. SOOOO, here's what I do now. I have a plastic...
