Road Dog, check out this one I'm just finishing up on. 72 Challenger 340 car. I powdercoated everything under the hood, including all pulleys, brackets, manifold, etc. This car has 37K original miles and all the original sheet metal. cleanest e-body that I ever saw. It's going on Ebay in a few weeks to give me some spending money for mibs, LOL!

    Re: Cuda

The pics are from a couple months ago. I trimmed off some fat, and have added all the necessary stuff since. It runs and yard drives now. It is in final primer and blocked for topcoat. The under hood area, trunk, and door jambs are all painted in Sassy Grass. It runs like a bear. I think I over-cammed it cause it barely idles without rolling, but the throttle response is nuts. I left a holeshot about 3 telephone pole lengths with it to make sure the engine was broken in proper, LOL!

Terry, someday my friend, we shall meet. When we do, I will be honored to let you count the poles from the passenger seat.

I usta do Banzaii Burnouts with the Blue Goose back in the day. Old Bias Plys seem to smoke better than the new Radials. I would smokem so bad you would about choke from the smoke. How much lift on that 340 Cam?

484 lift with 284 duration. Nothing smokes better than agricultural trailer tires. Buddy of mine used to enter the burnout contest down at the Carlisle Mopar show. He could shred them off the rims in about 20 seconds.

I think the Torker intake has a lot to do with it too. Real hard to fine tune an idle with those .

I agree Jim. I had the same problem with a similar setup. But with a little throttle, it roared to life like no other. Besides, that loping idle sure sounds mean, especially uncapped! Mine was hell in the winter. It had to be restarted 5 or 6 times before it would idle on its own.
