    Judy over here

OK now lets get back to this cropping thing. Just so that we both understand and are talking the same thing as in our other posts. I can crop bigger pictures and they come out good. What I am saying is I can't crop a very small pic and then make it larger. The resolution just will not match the picture size or it dosnt for me anyway. Now if you would try something for me please. I want you to copy the following pic to you desktop and then open it with your photo editing software and then crop the marble out and then enlarge it to 300 x 300 and let me know what it looks like. This will put my feeble mind at ease or make me worse. I think you will find that the same thing happens no matter what software you use, or at least I think it will.
Thanks for trying this for me.

I think Steph has it right, but that picture is hard to work with. When I crop it, it is already grainy.

I took picture at 2 1/2 feet away, clear as could be, I cropped it taking out all the background, I then enlarged it and went to 300x300 and it was grainy. But, I do still think the microsoft digital imaging program beats photoshop.JMHO

Galen, that's why I think her's is grainy, I was trying to show that if you had that much background you had to be standing to far away from what you are trying to photograph. So I tried to judge the background on hers and take one showing the same amount in mine. She needs to be closer. JMHO
