    1950's tv lamp - peacock with marbles tail

    The light shines through the marbles, giving the corner of the room a nice green glow.

    thanks again. marbles are crackle glass, aka "fried" green "clearies" that is, they have been heated until the glass fractures. Here is another one I have.....

    Not missing anything that I am aware of. Instead of marbles on the tail, it has little crackle glass "windows." Wish it had the marbles, but that's not how this one was made.

    ah. I saw sparkly depressions and wondered if all the marbles had been broken out ... with just a layer of crackle glass remaining ... somehow. LOL

    Which seemed improbable but ...

    I have to admit I love it when you guys show stuff like this. It makes me look sane to my wife...LOL
    Here is my wife's one allowance for "marble art". It is an italian fish lamp that I stash cateyes in.

    That fish lamp is really speaking to me! And any good ceramics place should have those lighted Christmas trees you could add marbles to, like the peacock! Too fun!

    1976. hmmmm. well, maybe mine aren't 1950's. no branding on mine. Nadine----what is the fish saying?? and do you hear any other voices? my little birdies stopped talking to me after i quit drinking ....
