pelts, miller, cac?
i run a monthly ad here in newark , ohio buying marbles. Aman called me and said i think I have what you looking for. ok I'll be right over I about died when he openend not 1, not 2, but three cigar boxes chock full of christensen, peltier, and akro. it turns out his grandfather was in management at C.A.C. in Cambridge, oh. so trying to keep my kool. I calmly said how much. he said make me an offer. O.K. $350.00. his reply $50.00 more and there yours. Iwhipped out 4 hundreds said thanxs and as calmly as i could muster walked to the car and left. well needless to say that 400.00 turned into right around 4-6 thousand after I got home and and added them up. In the bottom where two guinea's. see picks. but the question is what are the 4 marbles? mike

Re: pelts, miller, cac?
For the best ID you need several views of each mib. Your first four look to be CAC from here. Not too late to give the guy a few more bucks! LOL

Re: pelts, miller, cac?
You'll have to wait for Galen on the CAC ID. Try shooting them on a darker background as these are a bit too bright. Best score I've seen all year, can you show some more? Or all the others? Mmm-mmm-mmmmmmmm!!!

Sure I Would Love To. Its Hard To Beleve That I Started Collecting In Oct-2007 With $150.00 At A Local Auction And Now My Collection Is Worth Upwards Of $15,000. Wow What Persistance Wont Do. Of Course It Unfortunally It Doesnt Hurt Being Disabled. Last Night I Bought This Gorgeous Bag Of Vitro Marbles For 20.00 At Auction. Included Where All Those Vitros Plus A Father And Son Vitro Black Eyed Pea And The Super Rare Vitro Watermelon. Yes 20.00 Bucks Thats Why I Included The Auction Ticket. Mike

With nothing else to go on, my guess would have been Jabo on this one.

But thinking hard about vintage possibilities ...
How about Alley?
Check out the colors on the marble on the left hand side, middle row, in this group of Alleys. Well it looks like it might have two out of three!

Hi Mike, and welcome to the forum. If you decide in the future to sell some of these on Ebay, please let us know what your latest Ebay ID will be. In the meantime, take a minute to read over this thread.

I'm looking forward to seeing your "collection" Mike.......but there's no need for a couple of things.
FIRST......calling folks ***** because THEY are upset at YOU for not honoring your commitment. AND, to boot.....you're calling several WELL ESTABLISHED and WELL RESPECTED sellers names.....not a good impression to leave.
SECOND.....IF Ebay does not have the quality of marbles you have......WHY do you even take up YOUR time, OTHERS time and waste THEIR efforts by bidding on what you call "****".......just doesn't make sense in the big picture.
NOW......let's see this $15,000 collection you have, or at least the 3 cigar boxes worth of stuff you just got.

Re: pelts, miller, cac?
Mike, I really didn't want to start a pissing contest here, out of respect for the good people who use this site, and for Pete, who owns it.
I am sympathetic to your medical condition, but I don't believe that it justifies what you did to those sellers, myself included. All of us got hung with listing fees and other expenses for auctions that you bid on and didn't pay for, or didn't even a contact the sellers. Those "asses" that you refer to are decent, honest members of the marble community. I only brought this up because I don't want any of the good people on this thread to fall victim to any unsavory transactions.
Bottom line, I think that you took a whiz in the coffee pot, and I just don't want any of my friends drinkin' it. Marble people are a close knit group, and we all tend to look out for each other. The world got smaller with the advent of the internet, and these forums connect us in a lot of ways. I won't be posting any more on this matter, I just think that it would at least be decent of you to own up to what you did to a lot of good people.
