Some more finds this morning. We had 2 inches of rain then it changed over to snow. Alot of the field was under snow. I hunted the bare areas.

I'm gonna hit this field hard this weekend (maybe) it will be 74 degrees and dried out some. Never found the Paleo stuff at this part of the field before. So finding 2 Hardaways was kinda unexpected.

Put in around 2 1/2 hrs on the field this weekend. Jr is all tired out and is knapping. I'd be all day out there, but RJ gets tired walking on all that soft dirt. He found the quartz flake off a core. It's the larger piece on upper right. He thought it was a arrowhead.

Nice finds. I had my son out last fall - I found a nice point and made sure he saw it on the ground.....it had him pretty jazzed. I remember finding my first pieces at about age 13 or so.
Nothing like walking a field for 3 hours and calling it quits with empty pockets, only to find a killer piece right next to where the car is parked. That's happened a number of times for me.

Exactly Brian. I've been lucky lately on this part of the field. They are gettin it ready to put houses on. I gonna try to make it out there when they are moving dirt and diggin foundations. Glad to here you get your son out there too. As soon as I get in the car he looks at me and says " Rocks".
