Do you play marbles?

Thanks again Pete! Since we are on the subject here... is there any organized marble tournaments that you know of for people my age? All of the ones I can locate online are for children only

I'm pretty sure I archived an article or 2 re: that. I try not to articles that are about recurring annual events lest it get filled up with redundant info, but I think I added 1 or 2 just to document the occurance.

I know there is one in England & 1 or 2 on the US too. Not too serious though. It's kind of done in fun, a kid's game played by adults, so lots of goofing, drinking...

Theres nothing wrong with drinking... only in moderation. Theres definitely nothing wrong with goofing Kinda sounds like Dumas Walker, if you get that reference.

In fact heres the only five I could find that mentions marbles in the lyrics. Several of them had it in the name, but none of them mentioned it in the song.

I collect and play, but mostly collect now. got 3000-4000 marbs now.

P.S., does anyone know if the Mega Marble "camouflage" marble is new or not? cuz it just came out at the toy store here.

Played a lot when I was a kid. Taught how to play by my Mom. I'm 42 now and teaching my kids how to play and starting a marble club at their school. Ethan is 8 and Eliott is 5. Oh, and we live in Las Vegas... Anyone else here from the 702?

Hi Steven. I don't know what the 702 is, but there are a number of collectors out West. They have a marble show in Vegas. I think it's almost a year until the next Vegas show, but its something to look forward to if you don't meet anyone else in the meantime.
