Hey Leroy!
Had some time last week and got the new machines up and running.
Be careful!! Don't get your tie caught in the new large one. The power is awsome and can NOT be stopped with the pressure on the marble no matter how many rubber bands or bungees are on it.
These large motore have 3 wires and a ground wire on them so that is the way they are wired up.
Both machines have DIRECT coupling to the drive shaft. Once you understand the "trick"to setup they run without much attention. They don't get "stuck" and cause the dredded "nipple" that used to happen.
These new machines are sweet
The new diamond heads speak for themselves. Because of the way I make them I don't need to have so many sizes in the box.
Hog down with 60 grit- go to 400 and then polish. The felt heads work better than the wooden ones. They hold the cerium better.
The shows for the new year have started and I will be on the road most of the time. My son is now doing the work also and that thake some of the burden off me. I can stay home build stuff
Attached are two pictures; A fellow tried to "tumble" a marble and made it very bad. He is now a beliver in a polishing machine![]()
