Marble in Art: oils, acrylics, watercolors
Hello! I'm so glad to have found this website and forum!
I am an artist who loves to use vintage marbles as my subject matter: everything from elaborate magnified still lifes in oil to small, singular designs in acrylic, to a totally different effect with watercolors. Though I am not an educated marble collector, I have always been fascinated by these beautiful glass spheres.
I participated in the annual Badger Marble Club show for the first time this year (Oct. 24) - it was such a great pleasure to meet collectors, share my work with them and to marvle at their mind-blowing collections.
I have recently created a website that I hope you'll enjoy:
www.lostmarblestudio.com
I look forward to your feedback!

Couple of those single ones are pretty cool. There are a lot of fantastic old marbles that would make a great study. I am sure if you ever ran out of marbles to paint it would take one post and you would be flooded with pics of some fantastic specimens. Enjoy!

Thanks! I don't think I'll ever run out of specimens, but I can do commissioned work - "portraits" of your favorite marble before selling or trading (I like to work from life rather than photos...but anything is possible)!
