    I don't think so, unless it's really big, like over an inch. It looks like it's probably a red slag, and they aren't all that scarce.

    Depends what you mean by "worth". Can it be polished, sure. It would definitely look smoother if repaired, but you'd likely be paying more to have it repaired than the marble is "worth" to majority of marble collectors. With that much damage there could be some deep fractures that a surface polish wouldn't address.

    Taking a close look, I am afraid these would be places in my garden. In my experience, they seem to be too far damaged for a repair. I wish I had better news for you.
