Approx. 900 marbles from the 30's - 60's for sale

I have a large lot of Marbles, approx. 900 total for sale to highest offer. I started identifying some of them but its become to time consuming. I got them years ago from my great aunt's closet when she passed away in the 70's. I would like to sell all of them at once, I do not want to sell a portion of this collection, or one at a time. I have more close up photos. If you are seriously interested in making an offer, and want to see the photos please email me at designkitt@yahoo.com

    Thanks, Gail

Red face Re: Approx. 900 marbles from the 30's - 60's for sale

So, honestly I am a stay-at-home dad of 2, and a freelance writer with emphasis on the free. It is nostalgia driving me. So I would like to offer $35+ shipping, approx. coming out to .30 per marble.

I totally get it if you don't dig the low offer, but its lean times on the Ponderosa, so to speak.(that's an old Bonanza reference). I don't mean to insult a serious enterprise like selling you find.

Really, best to you, and if I ever get anything sold for publishing maybe I can look you up again if you don't like the offer, no hard feelings.

So, i realized something and went back to check my math. I had wanted to give you $.30 per marble (which comes out to around $270).

I honestly can not do that in one big chunk. I can go as high as a total of $50 + shipping. I realize this is quite a low offer, and I suspect not what you're looking for in terms of price.

If you could respond at least that you are not interested that would be nice.

Best, again, to you and yours,

So, I did some checking, and the machine-made marble nets you buy at the stores contain 24 marbles, plus 3 shooters. Out of 900 marbles you would get 37.5 nets. Nets are around 2.50 a piece. So, even if you sold them at current prices you should be able to expect $94.00.

$50 should get me about 480. I could give you the other $44 in a month next payday. This of course assumes your wanting to sell at the marble net prices. I also know you didn't want to break up the whole lot, and I would honor my word to buy the rest. Caveat being, it would be a month before I could.
