In the past I'd had a marble cooked by Scott Patrick. To do that, a damaged sulphide is attached to a punty, and "cooked" in the furnace by allowing the surface to remelt (which "restores" damage) while rolling the punty back and forth, so the marble doesn't melt off the punty, then it is broken from the punty, the pontil reformed, and allowed to cool.

I have some sulphides to restore, and I'm wondering if I have any other options besides polishing? If anyone knows of anyone doing any other repair than polishing, please LMK?
