Fun for days! :D
I bought a mixed lot (about 3 lbs) of marbles and a 22 lb box of unsorted cats eyes last week :D talk about fun! It was so great going through them all and discovering ones that I didn't have any examples of yet! In the mixed lot I got 2 german handmades, an Indian, a handcut agate, some colorful Benningtons, and some unknown vintage marbles.... Plus a lot more :D and in the catseye box I found so many neat catseyes including an Akro UV Corkscrew and a handmade german Mica! Woot! :D I hope I have more lots like that in the future :D I love not knowing what you're gonna find

Nice colors.
Is that mica considered "cased"? Or am I confusing that term with something else?
I kinda like the stone ones to have moons. I think of those as "veterans".

Geesh I don't know enough about micas yet to evan answer that maybe someone else will know???? I know.... Even though it takes away from the value dollar-wise..... I think its kinda neat.... It means someone had and used the marble. That it made the rounds, winning and maybe losing.... It has history more so than simply being antique

After a quick search... Yes, it seems 'cased' is used in reference to micas.... Though I could only find one photo ..... So I think it refers to a thick outer layer of glass on top of the layer containing the mica????? Mine appears to have mica only in the outer layer with the inside being mica-less and it has a little core of bubbles running from pontil to pontil.
