Size is as-packaged, or the diameter of loose marbles. ("D" is the diameter of round items other than marbles.)
These marbles were recovered from a shipwreck dating from the late 1800s off the coast of Long Island NY over the first decade of the new millennium. The ship was carrying a cargo which included beer steins, porcelain doll heads and German hand-made marbles. Glass handmades recovered from the wreck were eroded (apparently from sand and surf), but these glazed Crockeries weathered the punishment for 100+ years and they still have a wet mint shine! Only a small minority exhibit any damage, and even then it limited to some missing glaze or as-made touch marks. These are beautiful marbles!
A dated and hand-signed Certificate of Authenticity attesting to the provenance of your marble is included. Cetificates are printed on premium 100% cotton paper with watermark with raised foil seal embossed with the landofmarbles.com logo. Your certificate will be packed into a capped acrylic tube with the marble for protection.
Crockery marbles usually have striations of blue or green - these examples
are pink, an undocumented color that doubles the book value of the usually seen green or blue - that's a $30 book value! The fact that these come from a shipwreck practically makes these priceless! A very rare marble indeed! When our supply runs out there will be no more! Dont miss out on these at this price!
